Your Favourite Fictional Foods

Futurama Bachelor Chow Fictional Food
One of my favourite food blogs on the web is the delicious Al Dente, the place that actually gives a recipe for grilled Twinkies.

This week, they posted a post on the 5 most delicious fictional foods, a scrumptious list of foods that have been on TV and the movies.

"1. Dehydrated Pizza Hut Pizza (Back to the Future II)

If I had to pick a favorite for this list, dehydrated Pizza Hut pizza would be it. I've wanted a slice since 1989. Unfortunately I don't see how this could taste like the real thing unless it has dehydrated grease. Maybe that's a blessing in disguise. My main concern would be with pets. I worry that if they got hold of it before it's cooked, their stomachs would blow up. Another issue I have is with the rehydrator. It looks like it's designed only for flat things. What if you wanted dehydrated Boston Market? Is there a taller rehydrator?"

Mmmm - Pizza Hut.

Even better is reading the comments, which reminds us of some fantastic made-up foods, like Soylent Green and the Pan-galactic Gargle Blaster.

"Here's my fictional foods list:

1) Brahmin Burgers (from Fallout 1, 2, & 3 [I hope!]) - Sure to be twice as tasty as Buffalo burgers, right?

2) Melange aka "Spice" (From Dune) - If you have some you can bridge space and time. You can see in to forevah!

3) White Flower (from Super Mario Brothers) - You can spit fireballs afterwards... and they bounce!

4) Blue Milk (from Star Wars) - I've always been curious as to how good it tastes. A part of me believes it is exactly the same as the after-milk from Boo-Berry cereal.

5) Powerthirst (from CollegeHumor) - I'm intrigued by a drink which claims I can win at Sports, Art, and Arson, and have 400 babies that run like Kenyans. More importantly I wonder what an additive of Anna Kournikova will do to a person.

6) Celestial Wine (from Exalted, the RPG by White Wolf Games) - One sip and you live for 500 years, drink a bottle and you gain immortality, a great buzz, and absolutely NO hangover afterward.

7) The Peaches from the Peach tree of Wisdom (from Kung Fu Panda) - I have to admit that seeing them made me wonder if peaches from the tree of wisdom are juicier than those from a normal tree."

Brahmin Burgers are a fast-food concoction from the video game Fallout... in the game, Brahmin are two-headed cows that look anything else but delicious. Nevertheless, they're a main source of sustenance in that radioactive wasteland.
