The Hot Beef Sundae
Al Dente reports on a trend that's rocking the American continent: The Hot Beef Sundae, a dish that's in the shape of the ice cream treat, but is all savoury delight.
You see, it looks like an ice cream sundae, but is really just a double portion of Sunday's roast beef dinner.
From the picture, and this post on Serious Eats, I'm going to predict what the recipe for this beast must be like:
The Hot Beef Sundae
1. Put a scoop of mashed potatoes in a sundae bowl. It helps if the mash is buttery.
2. Layer on beautiful roast beef, making sure to arrange it in a flowery pattern.
3. Toss some grated cheddar on there.
4. Another scoop of mash, fashioning it into the shape of a bald man's head.
5. Mo' beef, taking care to ensure that it hangs out loose.
6. Another layer of cheese, which should start getting all melty.
7. Top with a cherry tomato.
8. Douse with gravy. In this case, that evil, black gravy that you get out of a can is appropriate, since it looks like chocolate syrup
9. Eat with gusto and relish.

This is what it's all about:
To be fair, that guy makes it sound damn good... 10 hours roasting the beef, seasoned gravy? I could give it a taste...
