Smoked Duck Breast Apple Roll with Herb & Mustard Sauce
Smoked cheese, smoked ham, smoked salmon...these are some of my favourite foods because I love the flavours of smoked food.
The recipe that I am going to share today features this cooking method; is quick and easy to make; is very presentable and chic; and tastes bloody fantastic.
Smoked Duck Breast Apple Roll with Herb & Mustard Sauce is a great summer snack and features flavoursome smoked duck breast combined with the crispiness of the apple and celery sticks in a delightful herb and mustard sauce is just pure gastronomic heaven!
Ingredients:
1 Green Apple
1 Smoked Duck Breast
2 Stalks of Celery
Marinade:
4 tbsp Mustard
2 tbsp Honey
2 tbsp Yogurt
1 tbsp Olive Oil
A pinch of herbs
Method:
1) Thinly slice the apple and set aside a few slices. Shred the rest to form 2-3 inch long pieces and soak in salt water.
2) Peel celery and cut into 2-3 inch long pieces.
3) Slice the smoked duck breast into thin pieces
4) Combine ingredients to form marinade sauce.
5) Put 3 pieces of celery and apple in each slice of smoked breast and roll-up.
6) Garnish dish with the reserved apple slices and serve with marinade sauce poured on top.
