Simple Fruit salad
Simple Fruit salad
Have you been neglecting your fruits for all that wholesome winter food? Possibly? Well you aren’t alone! I too temporarily forgot about my apples and pears whilst I was feasting on all those hot soups with cheesey toasts! But the time has come to pick up that knife, dice up some fruits and make a fruit salad! Yes! What ever fruits you can find will do the trick, although, colour and variety I find, is always better and more fun when it comes to fruit salads!
But “why not just eat the fruits whole” you might be asking? Well I have been pondering this and have come to some reasonable conclusions! (a) when fruit is not in “bite size pieces” aka still whole, somehow it seems like a lot of work is needed in order to eat the fruit; (b) bite-size pieces are fun; (c) with fruit salad you can mix-and-match a bit of everything without consuming a tonne of fruit; and (d) you can add fruit salad to lots of things- muesli in the morning or even dessert at night! It’s that easy! For my fruit salad I added apple, pears, orange, persimmon, passionfruit and blueberries, but feel free to add whatever fruits you like!
