Scrumptious Chocolate Macadamia Fudge Brownies!
It’s getting to that time of the week! You know what I’m talking about! Where the “beginning-of-the-week-I-can-do-anything” buzz has worn thin! You know what will make it ALL better? A chocolate brownie! Yes that little block of ‘Chocolatey’ goodness has amazing powers beyond the capabilities imaginable, for a little block. On the outside it looks so plain Jane. But on the inside, this brownie is soft and chewy like good fudge, and the chocolate just melts on your tongue. mmmmmmmmm...
So how do you make this magical fudge brownie? Good thing you asked! Just follow the simple directions below and you’ll be one step closer to feeling in tip top “I can do anything!” condition!
Chocolate Fudge and Macadamia Brownies
Ingredients: 125g butter chopped coarsely, 90g dark chocolate chopped, 90g milk chocolate chopped, ˝ cup firmly packed brown sugar, 2 tbsp honey, 2 eggs lightly beaten, 1 cup plain flour sifted, 2/3 cup macadamia nuts.
Steps: Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Melt together the butter and chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat, and stir in the sugar then the honey with a wooden spoon. Stir in the egg, sifted flour and macadamia nuts. Pour into a shallow baking dish (20 x 15cm) and bake for 30 minutes or until firm. Cool in the baking dish and then cut into squares.
Makes 10.
On a sidenote, I just noticed today that the old McDonalds' latest creation is a ‘triple chocolate brownie’. Do not be fooled! Home-made brownies are INFINITELY better and do not contain pig fat!
