Mistral Chocolate fountain- overflowing in chocolatey goodness

Struggling to think of what to buy for someone’s birthday? Well, why not buy a Chocolate fountain!?
I received one for my birthday and I can vouch for their worth! Firstly, who wouldn’t want their own chocolate fountain! It basically brings all your childhood “Charlie and the chocolate factory” fantasies alive! Remember when you were younger and you use to wish that there really was a place that was entirely made of candy and chocolate! Aahh! So you may not have a gigantic room made of candy, but you will have your own chocolate fountain, which is one small step for man! They are also very simple to use, you basically melt the chocolate, add some vegetable oil (to help keep the chocolate flowing) and voila!
The chocolate fountain also comes with helpful recipes, so if you want to live on the edge you can add additional flavours/syrups to your chocolate flow! What I also love about my dear chocolate fountain is that it brings all your friends together, to bask in its large chocolate offering and you start to think “very out of the box” when it comes to things to dip into the chocolate. We started with strawberries and marshmallows, then branched off into grapes, nashi pears, carrots, shortbread and even prawn crackers! (I have to say the prawn crackers were surprisingly good)
But what are the disadvantages of the chocolate fountain? Well really there aren’t any if you have “enough” people to enjoy its glory. However, for the majority of us who do have some form of chocolate limit, melting over 1 kg of chocolate (which is the recommended amount), inevitably results in some (maybe a lot) of wastage. Cleaning may also seem like a hassle to some, however, the trick is just to soak the chocolate coated parts in warm/hot soapy water- the chocolate comes straight off!

I'm not sure about the exact price (as different places will vary slightly) however the smaller ones should be under $100. You should be able to buy them from all good appliance stores as well as places like David Jones and Myer!
