Mini Blue cheese and vegetable tarts!

Do you like blue cheese? Better yet, have you ever even tried blue cheese? If you have not yet, quite possibly all the talk of *being blue* and *ewww… mould!* has been the sole reasons from turning you away from trying it. Being a previous member of these two groups I can personally empathise with the general feeling. However, I’m telling you all now! Go try it! Come on! Just a tiny little bite! ONE bite! It’s true, that it is a bit blue. It is a bit mouldy! But it IS also VERY tasty. Be warned, it is a very strong flavour. For a first try, I would recommend not just eating a chunk of blue cheese alone. Some might find that idea just a tad scary and overpowering. So instead, why not try these Mini Blue cheese and vegetable tarts! They’re mini and yet delicious! And they can give you a small taste of blue cheese!
I thought I would take my first small steps into appreciating blue cheese with a cooked version! Hah! My theory is that even if there is mould, surely the scorching oven temperatures will eliminate any sort of possibly deadly organism that my mind has cleverly imagined and constructed in order to prevent me from eating blue cheese.
You’ll all be glad to know that these are absolutely delicious little tarts. I had several reservations about eating blue cheese, but after these tarts I was completely converted! So go on, and try some blue cheese goodness today too!

great photos and a great recipe (have done similar things and the combo you have is a winner) other simple combos with blue cheese i love ( and when it comes to blue cheese i am a glutton) cauliflower soup with blue cheese, pear rocket and blue cheese with walnuts but my favourite is to go to silo (canberra) grab a baguette and as much blue as i can afford from their cheese room and make a bee line for one of the parks close by to gorge myself, regards Dave
