Pan-fried King Prawns in Garlic and Butter Sauce
Here in Oz, we're famous for our love of shrimps and why wouldn't we? They're damn tasty and we're also lucky to be blessed with a large variety of them not to mention how fresh they usually are at the markets.
This following recipe takes very little preparation time but tastes succulent - the garlic and butter sauce accentuates the aroma of the shrimps without robbing them of their natural flavour.
Ingredients:
6 King Prawns
1 1/2 tsp Salt
Ground black pepper
1 1/2 tbsp Olive Oil
Sauce:
3 tsp Lemon Juice
2 tbsp Garlic (finely diced)
25g Butter
Method:
1) Clean the shrimps and section the top half to remove the intestines. You might also want to cut off the feet.
2) Heat the olive oil in a pan and cook the prawns until they have turned a bright orange colour and the shells golden brown.
3) Melt the butter; add the garlic and fry until it begins to turn golden brown before returning the prawns to the pan. Toss briefly and dish up.
